Mental Health First Aid Training

MH first aid training: to become first aid trainers to support other members of staff.

Attending the MHFA course you gain the knowledge, awareness, and skills to spot signs of people experiencing poor mental health, be confident to start a conversation, and signpost a person to appropriate support.

Target audience: All health and social care staff (NB for non SY ICB staff this carries a fee)

Mental Health Crisis In People Living With Cancer

Covers information about mental health crisis such as what it is, what it may look like, the types of mental health support available and what it is like to experience a crisis from the perspective of a patient and from two of our professionals experienced in supporting people living with cancer.

Older Adults Mental Health

This catalogue is for anyone working with older adults. This includes nurses, care home staff, Allied Health Professionals, those working in Primary Care, and all other workers in health and social care. Individuals working in the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector will also benefit from the resources, as will family carers and people working in acute and community settings. The resources are intended to raise awareness of different mental health conditions experienced by older adults and how older adults living with these conditions can be supported.

Note this training is not cancer specific.
