The late effects of cancer – Support and where to find help

Understanding late effects and knowing what to look out for can empower you to take control of your health and wellbeing as you move forward.

Support is also available through your cancer team, GP, specialist nurses, and community services. Many people also find it helpful to connect with support groups or charities that offer advice and reassurance from others with similar experiences.

The Cancer Care Map

In partnership with Cancer Care Map, we have developed an easy access guide to support services, activities and therapies to help people living with cancer within the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Cancer Alliance. The search engine also contains services for Chesterfield as well as national services.

All support service information is provided by Cancer Care Map and is checked and updated regularly. To add or amend any information, please contact: SYshowsup@cancercaremap.org

If you are not sure what key words you want to use to search for services, try entering your postcode. You can narrow the radius of the search using the drop down box if required.  Note the search will include national services. If you wish for access to local services only, uncheck that box before searching.
